Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Lynx Alpha - First Screenshots and Impressions

So far, the alpha artwork looks very similar to Karmic Koala. The login background has only changed slightly.

The default desktop looks identical to the Karmic Koala desktop. I haven't experience any stability issues. After installing, there were a few updates available to apply.

The only issue I've noticed so far is what looks like a graphic that's in the process of being redesigned. It's the onscreen volume indicator that pops up when you change the volume using your keyboard.

Since it's still at a very early stage, I'm sure there will be quite a few package changes. But, it's impressive to see that everything looks very stable at this point and the only obvious defect is a graphic that seems to be in the process of a redesign.

I also saw byobu window manager installed by default under "Applications", "System Tools". I have no idea what it does, but since they decided it's worthy of being installed by default, I'm curious to investigate and see what it does.

Very impressive for such an early alpha.
